Water In Life

Every plant animal, and human being needs water to stay alive, due to the fact that all the life processes require water. People depend on water to stay alive and for their way of life. Water is needed in homes hygiene and for food preparation processes, and it's also needed in factories to manufacture things such as automobiles. Water is needed for irrigation, allowing crops to be raised in regions that don't get much rain.

Every organism consists mainly of water. Your body is about 65% water-- the brain is about 70% water, blood is about 82% water, and the lungs are nearly 90% water. All living things need a lot of water to perform life processes.

In our homes, far more water is used than is needed to simply stay alive. For many people, such water is a luxury. Millions of homes in Asia, Africa, and South America have no running water, so the people haul water manually, often carrying it from long ditances to their homes.
